Spaces for Reading.

This weekend I have a few things organised, however I know I will making the most of some time out and doing some reading. I have a stash of great books to get through thanks to friends and my bookclub. I'm looking forward to it.
Enjoy the great reading spots in the interiors above - all from Lonny. I tend to venture between my bed and the sofa for a good comfortable read. Happy Friday all.

L Dining by David Moreland

I got a call from Backhouse today, who let me know that the L Dining table by David Moreland that I ordered on behalf of my client is on its way. I am excited to see this table made out of American white oak up close. It is a beautiful simple design and I know it will look great in my client's dining area.

Go All Blacks!

292 is fully supporting the boys in black this weekend when they face France in the Rugby World Cup final. We have had the flag and the black bows up, showing our full support, since the start of the cup 6 weeks ago and they are still there! Go All Blacks!

Lovely Light Grey

I was out with friends for dinner last night and one has asked for my help with her apartment. She mentioned that she would be re-painting the walls - which are at present white. She suggested doing something different, maybe adding a colour. We talked about the possibility of greys, which is a nice step up from white. Here are some lovely scenes styled by Hilary Robertson (as spotted on Emma's Design Blog) that has soft light grey on the walls. Looks gorgeous.

Minty & Co - Rifle Paper Co.

I love this set of French note cards designed by Anna Bond of Rifle Paper Co. These (and other gorgeous notecard sets) are coming soon to Minty & Co.

By the way - as of a moment ago (7pm NZ time) Minty & Co. officially (and quietly) opened. I would love to hear from you - any feedback is appreciated whether it is about the website, the products or what you would like to see in-store for the future. Thanks in advance for your support.

More of King's Treat - 'Harbour Island Idyll' by Lonny Magazine.

King's Treat also makes an appearance in the September/October issue of Lonny magazine - you get to see more details of the stylish and relaxed guesthome. David Flint Wood talks about how he went about decorating this place and offers a few tips on how to live the 'Island Life'.

King's Treat by David Flint Wood

Check out the latest project by David Flint Wood - interior designer, author of Island Life, Bahamas resident and partner of the famed India Hicks. It is called King's Treat and is located at the scenic Harbour Island. This historic house has been overhauled and restored to its former glory, updated with modern amenities and given the stylish Englishman's touch. King's Treat can be rented as holiday accomodation, so if you're ever going the way of the Bahamas...
