Stylish Model Apartment from Sweden

This morning I was captured by the stylish living room above - isn't it great? Love the pieces - chair, tables, sofa, floor light and the awesome 'C' on the wall. I was sold in an instance. The rest of this model apartment for a development in Stockholm ain't too shabby either.

Ellis House on Remodelista

Remodelista are having 'Australia by Design' week and they have been profiling some great interiors, including this holiday rental, Ellis House. Located at Kyneton, about an hour from Melbourne, this 1860's four bedroom home has been renovated in a moody palette with lots of texture and rich details. Looks great.

Mirrors

Adnet Rectangulaire from Gubi

I have recently been looking for mirrors for a residential job and gathered this stylish selection. The striking Adnet Circulaire from Gubi has graced this blog before - now it has a brother called the Rectangulaire. It has a leather studded frame and is available in several sizes.
Another circle mirror option that we found was the Hay Strap mirror - similar idea to the Circulaire, however this one is simpler with a shorter strap. All are available in New Zealand from Corporate Culture.

Baker Stool from IMO

Baker stool

Lately I have been recommending to several of my clients the Baker stool by IMO. Simple and honest, this stool is made of solid oak on the seat top and legs, while the seat base and foot rest is in raw or powder coated aluminium. This solid and robust piece was a design finalist in the Home NZ magazine Design Awards 2013 and is now available in several colours and materials. What's even better is that it's made in New Zealand. Two thumbs up.

Bedroom - To Head Board or Not...

I have been thinking about a bedroom set up for clients of mine. We were looking at head board options a while ago - which I usually like as it brings a focus to the room. However, after doing some research, I was drawn to these visuals. So now think interesting side tables, cool lights, textured blankets and some simple pieces of art can bring focus to the bed - all without a head board. I'm liking this direction.
I found these great images on Milo and Mitzy's Pinterest bedroom board - check out more of them here.

More Press - HER Magazine

Last month was a good one! I also made an appearance in Her, a women's business and lifestyle magazine and this time it was about being an interior designer with a blog.
I was asked why a blog is a helpful tool for an interior designer, as well as 10 things that were influencing me right now. Thanks Her magazine for the feature.

Minty Fresh in Urbis Magazine

It was a highlight last month to be featured in the latest Urbis magazine. I was interviewed by Sharon Stephenson about my interior design work in Wellington (you can read it here) and photographed by Simon Devitt. I am chuffed by the lovely feed back that I have receiving from all over. Many thanks Urbis magazine.

Natalie Schwer and Broste

Images from Broste AW 2013 catalogue

To continue from yesterday, here is more work by stylist Natalie Schwer for Broste Copenhagen, a Danish home wares company.
I received an email yesterday from Maytime, who after seeing my Copper and Coral posting, let me know that they represent Broste Copenhagen in New Zealand and Australia. They mentioned that these products we see here will be launched next year in February 2014 as part of the winter range. Exciting!

This was from Broste Press day in Copenhagen - love the still life painting.
